Charter, private, and preschool programs

Speech therapy for private and charter schools

You run a small school with a big responsibility. There's no district related-services office down the hall, and when a student needs speech-language services, it's on your team to find the therapist. That's where we come in.

KL Therapy Services places licensed speech-language pathologists with charter schools, private schools, and preschools anywhere in the United States, for a few hours a week or a full caseload. Karlie is your one contact from the first call on.

A preschooler hands a wooden toy carrot to a delighted speech-language pathologist at a small play table.

For charter schools

If your charter school provides special education services, your students' IEPs still need a speech-language pathologist, whether you have five students on the caseload or fifty. We can provide:

  • direct therapy on each student's IEP schedule;
  • evaluations and reevaluations;
  • IEP writing, progress reports, and case-manager work;
  • attendance at eligibility and IEP meetings.

The school contracts with KL directly. Karlie Libraro, M.S., CCC-SLP, worked in charter schools herself before founding KL, so she knows how much a small team has to cover.

For private schools

Private schools often want therapy to happen on campus, so families don't have to pull kids out of class for appointments. With us, families arrange and pay for their child's therapy with KL, and the therapist comes to the school. Your part is permission and a quiet space to work.

Near Richmond, Karlie can see students at school as part of her private practice. Families can use their insurance if we're in network with their plan. See insurance and rates.

Families looking for therapy for their child can start on our family services page.

Preschools and Head Start

Early childhood programs need speech-language help too, often for a few hours a week. We can place a therapist for your program on site or by teletherapy.

On site or by teletherapy

We can place a therapist on your campus wherever there are SLPs willing to work there, or provide sessions by live video, and some schools use both. Every therapist we place holds the ASHA CCC-SLP and a license in the state where your school is.

Teletherapy for schools

Built for smaller schools

You'll have one contact, a schedule built around your bell times, and hours that fit your enrollment. If your needs change and you need more hours or fewer, tell Karlie and she'll work out what's possible.
